EV Bonus Ride Challenge

Drivers in select regions with a personal electric vehicle (EV) can participate in the EV Bonus ride challenge.
EV bonuses are personalised and are offered weekly.
Rides picked up in your approved market using a qualifying electric vehicle count towards the ride requirement.
Note: The EV Bonus is only available for drivers with a personal vehicle. Express Drive renters are eligible for a separate EV multi-tier bonus.

Getting the EV Bonus
To qualify for the EV Bonus, you must be an approved driver in your region and have a qualifying electric vehicle added to your account.
Once your EV is added to your account, you can earn a bonus by completing the weekly Ride Challenge with your EV.
Note: After your EV is added to your account, it can take up to 2 weeks before you start receiving ride challenges
Eligible hours for earnings are:
  • Monday 5 AM to the following Monday 4:59 AM
Ride count and bonuses will reset every Monday at 5 AM.
Each week, every completed ride with a pickup in your approved market using a qualifying EV counts towards the weekly challenge. The bonus will be available in your earnings one hour after you have completed the challenge.
Note: The bonus can only be earned once per week. If you complete more rides than the challenge requires, the extra rides don't roll over into the following week.
Tracking your EV Bonus
As you make progress toward the ride requirement, you’ll be able to track your bonus from the Driver app home screen.
To track your progress, tap ‘EV Bonus’ on the home screen.

Terms For California EV Bonus Ride Challenge
Your bonus offer will vary each week. You can view your bonus offer on the Lyft driver app home screen or weekly planner.
  1. Participating in bonuses and incentives is always your choice. You aren't required to accept any specific request for services to maintain access to the Lyft app or Lyft platform.
  2. Participation in this EV Bonus ride challenge is subject to Lyft’s Terms of Service (linked below).
  3. You must be approved in the state of California to be eligible to receive the bonus.
  4. All 100% Electric Vehicles, except for those rented through the Express Drive program, are eligible for the EV Bonus.
  5. There may be a delay of up to 2 weeks between adding an EV to your account, and becoming eligible for the EV Bonus offer.
  6. Only completed rides with pickups in your eligible EV in the state of California count towards the ride requirement.
  7. You may only participate in one state’s EV Bonus ride challenge per week. Changing your region in the Lyft app may impact EV Bonus eligibility, and there may be a delay between when you update your region and when you get new ride challenge offers.
  8. You will not receive a prorated bonus amount if you do not meet the ride requirement.
  9. In its sole discretion, Lyft may choose to reduce the ride requirement. Lyft will notify you in the driver app in the event the number of required rides has changed for a given week.
  10. Lyft reserves the right to withhold or deduct payments in the event of error, suspected fraud, illegality, or violation of Lyft’s Terms of Service or the terms listed in this section.
  11. The EV Bonus is being offered at the discretion of Lyft, and Lyft has the right to terminate the challenge, in whole or in part, or to change any aspect of the challenge, the EV Bonus ride challenge Terms, benefits, conditions of participation, qualification criteria or earning thresholds, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of bonuses already accumulated. Lyft further reserves the right to make modifications to the EV Bonus ride challenge only to limited cohorts of participants in its sole discretion.
Terms for Maryland and Metropolitan D.C. Area EV Bonus Ride Challenge
  1. Participating in bonuses and incentives is always your choice. You aren't required to accept any specific request for services to maintain access to the Lyft app or Lyft platform.
  2. Participation in this EV Ride Challenge is subject to Lyft’s Terms of Service (linked below).
  3. You must be approved in the state of Maryland, or D.C. Metropolitan Area to be eligible to receive the bonus.
  4. All 100% Electric Vehicles, except for those rented through the Express Drive program, are eligible for the EV Bonus.
  5. There may be a delay of up to 2 weeks between adding an EV to your account, and becoming eligible for the EV Bonus Ride Challenge offer.
  6. Only completed rides with pickups in your eligible EV in your approved market count toward the ride requirement.

  2. You must be approved in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area to be eligible to receive the bonus.
  3. You must be approved in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area to be eligible to receive the bonus.
  4. All 100% Electric Vehicles, except for those rented through the Express Drive program, are eligible for the $55 (CAD) EV Bonus.
  5. There may be a delay of up to 2 weeks between adding an EV to your account, and becoming eligible for the EV Bonus offer.
  6. Only completed rides with pickups in your eligible EV in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area count toward the ride requirement.
  7. You may only participate in one state’s EV Bonus ride challenge per week. Changing your region in the Lyft app may impact EV Bonus eligibility, and there may be a delay between when you update your region and when you get new ride challenge offers.
  8. The maximum bonus amount you can receive each week from the EV Ride Challenge is $55 (CAD). You will not receive a prorated bonus amount if you do not meet the 50-ride requirement.
  9. In its sole discretion, Lyft may choose to reduce the ride requirement. Lyft will notify you in the driver app in the event the number of required rides has changed for a given week.
  10. Lyft reserves the right to withhold or deduct payments in the event of error, suspected fraud, illegality, or violation of Lyft’s Terms of Service or the terms listed in this section.
  11.
