    Report an accident or collision

    Call 911 for emergencies.
    During a ride, you can call 911 using our in-app Safety Center.
    To submit a claim of loss for injury or damages, complete an accident report. this will take 10-15 minutes to complete.
    Accidents are:
    • Vehicle collision
    • Vehicle struck an object (for example a curb, wall, or tree)
    • Vehicle damaged third-party property
    If you need to talk to someone from our Accident Reporting team, call us using the 'Report accident' button below.
    We’ll guide you through the next steps of reporting a vehicle collision. Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    If you need a Post Collision Inspection due to an accident, use this form. Please note that this form is not for new applicants or vehicles and is only to be used after an accident has been reported to Lyft.
    If you have a safety concern that didn’t involve a collision, contact our Safety team.
    If you rent with our Express Drive program, you may be eligible for a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Limited Liability Damage Waiver (LLDW) that can help cover damage fees in case of an accident. Please visit your rental location for more information.
