Colorado Electric Vehicle Ride Challenge
Lyft has partnered with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to make a weekly ride challenge available to electric vehicle drivers in Colorado until March 2027. This incentive is funded by the Clean Fleet Enterprise (“CFE”).
This ride challenge offers a weekly bonus when you meet the requirements.
This bonus is currently available to drivers who own or lease their vehicle and drivers in Denver or Colorado Springs with an Express Drive EV rental.
Getting the EV Bonus
To qualify for this EV Bonus, you must be an approved driver in Colorado and have a qualifying electric vehicle added to your account.
After your EV is added to your account, it can take up to 2 weeks before you start receiving ride challenges.
Once your EV is added to your account, complete 50 rides in a week to be eligible for a $100 bonus.
The ride challenge week runs from Monday at 5 AM to the following Monday at 4:59 AM.
Ride count and bonuses will reset every Monday at 5 AM.
Each week, every completed ride with a qualifying EV counts towards the weekly challenge. The bonus will be available in your earnings 1 hour after you have completed the challenge.
The bonus can only be earned once per week.
If you complete more rides than the challenge requires, those extra rides won’t roll over into the following week.
Tracking your EV Bonus
As you make progress towards the ride requirement, you’ll be able to track your progress from the Lyft driver app home screen.
To track your progress, tap ‘EV Bonus’ on the home screen.
Express Drive EV bonus (Denver & Colorado Springs)
If you rent an electric vehicle through Express Drive in Denver or Colorado Springs, you're eligible for the same weekly bonus as personal-vehicle EV drivers.
Complete 50 rides in a rental week and you'll earn a $100 bonus. Your rental week runs from Monday at 5 AM to the following Monday at 4:59 AM, matching the Ride Challenge week above.
Only rides given using Express Drive EV vehicles picked up in Denver or Colorado Springs count toward the 50-ride requirement.
We'll add your bonus to your earnings after your rental week ends.

As you make progress towards the ride requirement, you’ll be able to track your progress from the Lyft driver app home screen.

Terms for Colorado EV Bonus Ride Challenge
- Participating in bonuses and incentives is always your choice. You aren't required to accept any specific request for services to maintain access to the Lyft app or Lyft platform.
- Participation in this EV Ride Challenge is subject to Lyft’s Terms of Service (linked below).
- You must be approved in the state of Colorado to be eligible to receive the bonus.
- All 100% Electric Vehicles are eligible for the EV Bonus, including Express Drive EV rentals picked up in Denver or Colorado Springs.
- There may be a delay of up to 2 weeks between adding an EV to your account, and becoming eligible for the EV Bonus Ride Challenge offer.
- Only completed rides with pickups in your eligible EV in your approved market count toward the ride requirement.
- You may only participate in one state’s EV Bonus ride challenge per week. Changing your region in the Lyft app may impact EV Bonus eligibility, and there may be a delay between when you update your region and when you get new ride challenge offers.
- You will not receive a prorated bonus amount if you do not meet the ride requirement.
- In its sole discretion, Lyft may choose to reduce the ride requirement. Lyft will notify you in the driver app in the event the number of required rides has changed for a given week.
- Lyft reserves the right to withhold or deduct payments in the event of error, suspected fraud, illegality, or violation of Lyft’s Terms of Service or the terms listed in this section.
The EV Bonus is being offered at the discretion of Lyft, and Lyft has the right to terminate the challenge, in whole or in part, or to change any aspect of the challenge, the EV Bonus ride challenge Terms, benefits, conditions of participation, qualification criteria or earning thresholds, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of bonuses already accumulated. Lyft further reserves the right to make modifications to the EV Bonus ride challenge only to limited cohorts of participants in its sole discretion.
