About Prime Time

When demand for rides is more than the number of drivers on the road, passengers may pay an extra percentage on top of the base ride amount. For example, if Prime Time is 50%, a ride that is $6 without Prime Time would become $9.

Prime Time only adds a percentage to the ride subtotal, which is calculated before the Service Fee, taxes and airport fees, or other additional amounts.

Guaranteed Prime Time

Guaranteed Prime Time is a way for drivers to boost earnings while providing safe, reliable rides for passengers during the busiest times.

Heat Maps

Heat Maps let you see where you're needed most. The app displays the areas of highest demand in real time. Shaded sections show where Prime Time is in effect. Whether you're online or offline, you can see Heat Maps in the Driver Console.

Heads up: Prime Time is calculated using the location of passengers when they make a ride request. That means even if you're waiting in a shaded area, the ride requests you see may not be affected by Prime Time.
