Lyft’s health safety guidelines

The CDC recently updated its guidance for transportation, and masks are now optional in all rides.
We know that everyone has different comfort levels, so you can still wear a mask during the ride if you'd like.
All riders and drivers should follow their local public health guidance
Recent updates
  • Wearing a mask is now optional for everyone in the car.
  • Riders and drivers are no longer required to keep the front seat empty or the windows open.
  • While riders and drivers can always decline any ride they don’t wish to take, health safety reasons – like not wearing a mask – will no longer appear as cancellation options in the app.
We ask that you don’t drive or take a ride if you have COVID-19 or any related symptoms.
