Accessibility features for drivers

You can use accessibility features in the Lyft Driver app to let passengers know you’re deaf or hard of hearing. You can also change how you get notifications for new ride requests.
To use accessibility features:
  1. Open the main menu, then tap 'Account.'
  2. Tap 'Settings,' then tap ‘Accessibility.’
  3. Turn your desired features on or off.
There are currently two accessibility features you can use.
Text instead of call
When you turn on ‘Text instead of call,’ we’ll let your passengers know that you’re deaf or hard of hearing. We’ll ask them to message you instead of calling if they need to reach you.
Flash for new rides
Turning on ‘Flash for new rides’ will make your phone screen flash when you get a new ride request.
