About in-app payment

Passengers pay for rides directly in the app. Numerous factors determine ride costs (learn more at Calculating a Lyft ride's cost).

The app stores passengers' payment info. Passengers can add multiple forms of payment and choose which one to use after rides end on the Payment screen.

Drivers are still paid the full amount when a charge fails for a ride. If this happens, we follow up with passengers to process the charge.
