What is the Mentor Program?
The Mentor Program connects experienced Lyft drivers with driver applicants. Mentors help applicants through the approval process, answer questions, and facilitate Mentor Sessions.
Who are Mentors?
Mentors are our top drivers in each city — they're a valuable part of the applicant experience. Full of information and encouragement, these Lyft gurus add a personal touch to every application.
How can someone become a Mentor?
Continue giving 5-star Lyft experiences. As you rack up rides, keep your driver rating high, and delight passengers, you’ll inch closer to Mentor status. If you’re selected, we’ll email you an invite.
Can a Mentor's status be revoked?
We reserve the right to revoke a Mentor’s status at any time. This normally stems from poor mentee ratings, recruiting for Lyft competitors, and low-quality Mentor Sessions.
How are Mentor Sessions scheduled?
Applicants schedule Mentor Sessions during the application process, and approved Mentors have access to the Mentoring portal, an online tool for managing their applicants. From the portal, Mentors can accept Mentors Sessions and get in touch with applicants.
When can Mentor Sessions take place?
Mentor Sessions can take place anytime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., seven days a week. Each session should take about 45 minutes.
