    To ensure a smooth airport experience for you and your passengers, make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules below. Tap each link to jump to detailed instructions on each section:

    The following information applies to all airports:

    Lyft emblem
    • Exhibe tu emblema de Lyft en la esquina inferior derecha (del lado del pasajero) del parabrisas delantero en todo momento mientras realices viajes con Lyft.
    • If you are giving a non-Lyft ride at the airport, make sure to remove your emblem before entering airport property.
    • If you’ve just been approved to drive, you should receive your Lyft emblem shortly. If you didn't get one or need a new one, place an order in your Dashboard. While waiting for it to arrive, you may print a temporary emblem.
    Conduct at the airport

    • Do not park in red zones or taxi/shuttle areas unless otherwise specified in the rules above.

    Permitted Airports

    Es responsabilidad de los conductores de la plataforma Lyft conocer y seguir todas las reglas del aeropuerto para evitar recibir una citación administrativa. Lyft está disponible en los siguientes aeropuertos de Nueva Jersey:
    Atlantic City International Airport (ACY)
    Waiting for requests:
    • Wait in the designated staging area pictured above. Only drivers within the designated staging area are added to the queue.
    • The queue is first in-first out. The driver who has been waiting within the staging area in driver mode the longest gets the next request. Your physical location within the staging area does not affect your spot in the queue, but if you exit the staging area or log out of driver mode, you will lose your spot.
    • If the staging area is full, you must leave the airport. You may not wait for requests anywhere else on airport property or use any other parking lots while in driver mode.

    • Driver cancellations and missed requests do affect your place in line. If you are the one to cancel a request, or if you miss a request, you're placed at the back of the queue.

    Pickups:
    • Pick up passengers from the commercial vehicle lane across from the terminal (Island 1). Push the button on the small metal box to enter the commercial vehicle lane.
      • The Lyft app moves the passenger's pin to an approved pickup area. If you're having trouble finding each other, make sure you have both gone to the pin's location and are on the correct level of the airport.
    • Do not pick up passengers from Arrivals.
    • Prioridad tras viaje corto: Si aceptas un pedido de un viaje corto desde el aeropuerto después de esperar en la fila, se te podría asignar una mejor posición en la fila una vez que dejes al pasajero. Recibirás un SMS cuando termine el viaje para avisarte que tienes la opción de volver al área de espera y obtener un lugar preferente.     Drop-offs:
    • Drop off passengers at Departures, at the passenger's carrier of choice.

    Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
    To avoid airport fines, wear a face mask when operating on airport property (including the airport staging lots). Additionally, the airports require drivers to observe proper social distancing.
    Waiting for requests:
    • Wait in the designated staging area pictured above. Only drivers within the designated staging area (Long Term Hold Lot - TNC Area) are added to the queue.
    • All northbound traffic from the staging area to the Terminal Area will be directed to make a left onto Basilone and follow detour signs north to access the terminals. Do not drive straight on Basilone, this road will be closed.
    • The queue is first in-first out. The driver who has been waiting within the staging area in driver mode the longest gets the next request. Your physical location within the staging area does not affect your spot in the queue, but if you exit the staging area or log out of driver mode, you will lose your spot.
    • If the staging area is full, you must leave the airport. You may not wait for requests anywhere else on airport property or use any other parking lots while in driver mode.

    Pickups:
    • Pick up passengers from Arrivals, at your passenger’s carrier of choice. Please follow signage above external doors which notes terminal, level, and door to locate your rider.
    • Do not wait or circle back at the airport if the passenger is delayed when picking up. Instead, wait in the staging area.
    • Rematch is a feature that enables you to be matched with additional passenger(s) shortly before or after completing a drop off. This means you can receive a ride request for up to 2 minutes after dropping off a passenger without returning to the staging lot.
    • Predespachamiento: Mientras esperas pedidos, podrías recibir un SMS y una notificación en la app que te indicarán que te dirijas hacia la terminal. Cuando estés en camino, deberías recibir un pedido de viaje. De lo contrario, regresa al área de espera.     • Short ride bump: If you receive a request for a short ride from the airport after waiting in the queue, you may qualify for a higher queue position after you drop off your passenger. You'll receive an SMS after dropping off to let you know you have the option to return to the staging area for a preferred spot in the queue. Please note that if you give a ride before returning to the staging area, you may still qualify for a preferred spot in line
    • Please note: if you are a New Jersey driver (non-TLC), you are not able to receive ride requests in New York City. If a passenger ride has brought you into New York City, you will need to return to New Jersey in order to receive another ride request.
      • If you are a New York City TLC driver, and a passenger ride has brought you into New Jersey, your next match should be a ride request heading back to New York City.
    Drop-offs:
    • Deja a los pasajeros en el lugar de su preferencia junto a la acera de la entrada del terminal.
    • Puedes obtener un pedido justo antes o justo después de dejar a los pasajeros en el aeropuerto (viaje de reconexión). Si no tienes una reconexión, no esperes en el aeropuerto. Si quieres esperar pedidos adicionales, dirígete al área de espera.

    The rules below for pickups and drop-offs apply to the following airport(s):
    • Trenton-Mercer Airport
    Pickups:
    • Pick up passengers from Arrivals, at your passenger’s carrier of choice.
