Women+ Connect for drivers
In select regions, Women+ Connect offers women and nonbinary drivers a preference that helps them match more often with women and nonbinary passengers.
We want to help encourage women drivers to take the wheel and feel confident when they drive with Lyft.

How do I turn it on or off?
Women and nonbinary passengers are automatically opted-in to Women+ Connect. You can update your preferences at any time in the preferences hub in the Driver app.
To change your preferences:
- Tap “Driving Options” menu at the bottom of your screen.
- Tap “Driving Preferences.”
- Select “Prefer women rider requests” and update your preference.
This is a ride type preference, and we cannot guarantee your preferences will be met for every ride.
Who has access to Women+ Connect?
Women+ Connect is currently only available to women and nonbinary drivers. If you identify as a woman or nonbinary and need to update your gender, visit your profile and tap ‘Gender.' Please note that submitting untrue information may lead to account suspension or deactivation.
What does nonbinary mean?
“Nonbinary” refers to people who identify outside of the “binary” genders, man or woman.
Will I still be matched with men?
Yes, it’s possible. When Women+ Connect is turned on, we’ll do our best to match women and nonbinary drivers and riders. However, in order to help you always get a ride there are times where you’ll be matched with men.
