Lyft Silver for Drivers

Lyft Silver is a program offered to empower more older adults to get around independently by providing a simple and supportive rideshare experience.
With Lyft Silver, riders can request any ride type available in their area. While this experience is different for the rider, your ride request will look the same in the Lyft Driver app.
Note: Lyft Silver is not a different ride type just a simplified app experience.
Opting in or out of Lyft Silver
To manage your ride preferences:
  1. From the Lyft Driver App select ‘Driving Preferences’ from the menu
  2. Locate the ‘Ride Types’ section
  3. Select ‘Lyft Silver’
  4. Switch the toggle that appears to opt-in or opt-out of the ride preference
Silver Select
Silver Select is an additional ride type that drivers are opted into as long as you have a low-entry vehicle and 4.95+ rating. You will also be required to wait 7 minutes for the rider to get to the pickup location and may be asked to pick the rider up on the same side of the street.
You'll earn a $2 bonus on every ride requested as Silver Select.
