Changing navigation settings
We recommend using Lyft Maps to determine the best routes during rides. You'll be able to navigate without leaving the app, in addition to seeing real-time traffic reports and using night mode.
You can still use other navigation systems.

Change your navigation settings
To update your navigation systems, go the to menu in your Lyft Driver app, then:
- Select 'Account.'
- Select 'Settings,' then 'Navigation.'
- Choose your preferred navigation app.
Selecting 'Auto Navigation' will let your Lyft Driver app switch between driving mode and navigation mode automatically if you've decided not to use Lyft navigation.
Note: Google Maps and Waze navigation options may not be available in all regions.
Navigation troubleshooting
If you’re having trouble, you can try to:
- Update your app to the latest version.
- Close other apps.
- Restart your device.
