How will I be notified about cleaning fees?
You’ll receive an email if you're charged a damage fee. This email will include details about which ride the fee is for, and photos of the damage.
You'll get an updated receipt after the damage fee has been charged. You can also check out details in the 'Ride history' tab of the Lyft app. Any damage fees will show under that ride.
If you believe we've missed any information regarding your case, reply directly to our follow-up email.
Cleaning fee amounts
Damage charges vary based on the severity. Damage charges help the driver pay to have their car cleaned or repaired.

  3. $80: Moderate messes such as biowaste and large messes from food or spills, on the vehicle’s interior.

  2. Water on seats or floorboards
  3. Unpleasant smells
  4. Wear and tear
  5. Time spent cleaning
