Pet rides for drivers
Pet rides is a ride preference that gives you the opportunity to earn a bonus when picking up a rider and their pet. You’ll earn a $4 bonus for every Pet ride you complete and it will be included in the earnings breakdown as ‘Pet ride bonus’.
Pet rides are only available in the U.S. at this time.
Note: Drivers are required by law and Lyft’s policy to accommodate passengers with service animals even if they don’t request a Pet ride or if you have opted out of Pet rides.
Pet rides preference
You'll automatically be opted into Pet rides and can adjust your preference anytime in the Lyft Driver app.
To adjust your preference:
- From the Lyft App select ‘Driving Preferences’ from the menu
- Locate the ‘Ride Preferences’ section
- Select ‘Pet rides’
- Switch the toggle that appears to opt-in or opt-out of the ride preference
