The app doesn't have built-in navigation, but instead connects to the navigation on your phone.
We recommend using Google Maps or Waze because they use real-time traffic info to determine the best routes.
To edit your navigation preferences:
- Tap 'Settings' in the app
- Tap 'Navigation'
- Toggle the 'Auto Navigation' on to let the app switch back and forth between your driving and navigation flows. You can also select a preferred navigation app.
If you're having trouble, make sure your app and operating systems are updated. See more at Phone Software Recommendations and Settings.
Heads up: it's good practice to restart your device after updating your app and operating systems. Additionally, closing other apps while using Lyft helps the app run smoothly, prevents connectivity errors, and dedicates the app to your GPS provider of choice.
