You can pay using Lyft gift cards on all Lyft rides in the US. Whether it's a retailer or a digital gift card, you can redeem it through Lyft Cash in your app.
Sender: When sending a digital gift card, we’ll email the recipient with a link that adds the gift card to their account. This email will also have a gift card code, which they can enter in their Lyft app.
If they missed the email, go to lyft.com/gift/history. You can see your gift card purchase history along with gift card codes. Recipient: If you have a retailer or a digital gift card code, you can add it to your Lyft Cash balance. Here's how:
Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
Tap the Gift card icon.*
Enter the gift card code and PIN.
*If you don’t see the gift card icon, tap ‘Payment’ in the menu, then tap the Gift card icon.
If you have a gift card and promo codes, you can select which combo you want to use before a ride on the ‘Rate & Pay’ screen.
You still need to have a default payment method in the Lyft app, even when you’re using a gift card. Charges still apply to your default card for the following:
Currently, Lyft users in Canada can’t purchase or use gift cards. We’ll let you know when this changes.

Although we can't replace Lyft gift cards if they're lost or stolen, but we’re here to help.
We can check to see if the digital gift card has been redeemed. If it hasn’t, we can add it to your account. Send us the gift card code in the gift card purchase history on lyft.com/gift/history, and we'll see what happened. If the gift card recipient didn't get an email after you purchased the card, double-check all email folders (including spam and trash). If they still can’t find it, go to lyft.com/gift/history and find the gift card code in the purchase history. Send us the code and we'll investigate.
Note: Retailer gift cards can't be tracked or replaced if lost or stolen.
