    ID Submission

At Lyft, we’re always working to protect our community and keep your account more secure.
Before requesting a ride, we may ask passengers to submit the following.
    1. ID submission: Scan a government-issued ID. If you can’t provide a government-issued ID, there are other options listed under ‘Accepted IDs’.
    2. Take a photo of yourself: Take and submit a photo of yourself. This will become your profile photo to help drivers identify you. You can update this photo later in your profile.
This helps us fight fraud which helps protect the Lyft community.

    1. Go to the ‘Payment’ tab in the menu.
    2. Tap ‘+ Add payment method’ and then tap ‘Online banking’.
    3. Tap ‘Continue’ on the ‘Link your bank account’ screen.

    6. Tap ‘Agree & Sign in’ and follow your bank’s instructions for linking your account.
You aren’t required to use it to pay for rides.

    Send us an alternative document

You can send us an alternate document with your name and mailing address:
    1. Tap the back button on your phone’s browser to return to the Lyft app.
    2. Tap the checkbox under ‘Learn more’ and then tap ‘Next’.
    3. Tap ‘See more’ on the ‘Scan your ID’ screen.
