All Black Car drivers must meet Lyft’s standard driver requirements for their region, but it’s important to note that being a Professional Black Car driver is not a requirement to drive on the Lyft platform. Owner operators or independent drivers that aren't associated with a Fleet company can use the 'Contact Us' button at the bottom of this page with questions.

If you’re a Black Car fleet manager or the sole proprietor of a Black Car business, and you're interested in partnering with Lyft, please complete this form.
Note: Once your drivers accept the fleet invite, they won't be able to drive a personal vehicle. If they want to leave the fleet to drive a personal vehicle, they'll have to create a new driver account with Lyft.

I already drive for Lyft, why does this matter to me?
In some cities, only Professional Black Car drivers who meet elevated document requirements will be eligible to give Lux Black rides and have access to priority airport pick ups. Regulatory requirements may require Lyft to collect additional documents in some cities, blocking drivers from giving rides until those requirements are met.
If you drive under a commercial fleet, there will be a separate agreement between Lyft and the Fleet Manager with details regarding pay. All earnings are handled directly by your Fleet Manager.
