Scheduled rides for drivers

You can plan ahead using scheduled rides which show the fare and ride details for available requests in your region up to 7 days in advance.
To find rides that work for your schedule, you can use the map view to filter rides by:
  • Date.
  • Time.
  • Airport drop-off.
  • Airport pickup (eligible airports only).
  • Ride type.
Once you’ve reserved a scheduled ride, we’ll send you a notification when it’s time to go online. Accept the ride, and start heading toward the pickup location.

Reserving and completing scheduled rides
To reserve scheduled rides in the Lyft Driver app:
  1. Open the main menu, then tap ‘More Ways to Earn.’
  2. Tap ‘Scheduled Rides.’
  3. Choose a ride, then tap ‘Reserve.'
Note: After pre-accepting a scheduled ride, you must remain in the same ride mode or vehicle to stay eligible for the ride. If you change your ride mode or vehicle within 3 hours of the scheduled ride, you will receive a warning message reminding you to switch back to the eligible mode or vehicle.
To complete a scheduled ride:
  1. Open the driver app and tap 'Go Online' at least 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
  2. Make sure you're close enough to the pickup location to arrive on time.
  3. Accept the ride request for your scheduled ride. You should receive the request at least 15 minutes before the pickup time.
You may lose your scheduled ride if:
  • You're not able to arrive on time
  • You’re not online at least 30 minutes before the pickup
  • The ride mode or vehicle you selected does not meet the requirements for the scheduled ride you pre-accepted
Cancellation policy
Driver cancellation
If your plans change, you can remove the scheduled ride in the app so that another driver can take it. Removing the pickup won't affect your acceptance rating.
To remove a ride from your reserved scheduled rides in the Lyft Driver app:
  1. Open the main menu, tap ‘More Ways to Earn.’
  2. Tap ‘Scheduled Rides.’
  3. Tap the ‘Reserved’ filter
  4. Tap on the ride details.
  5. Tap ‘Cancel.’
If you cancel or don’t complete an excessive number of scheduled rides, your access to scheduled rides may be reduced for the next 14 days.
Note: Only reserve scheduled rides that you’re able to complete.
Passenger cancels scheduled ride You’ll be paid a cancellation fee for a scheduled ride if:
  • You reserved a scheduled pickup.
  • You’re online.
  • You're not estimated to be more than 5 minutes late.
  • Passenger cancels within 1 hour of pickup.
Note: The cancellation fee for your scheduled ride is set at a fixed amount.
Earnings
Scheduled ride earnings are estimated based on time, distance, and other market factors. Your actual earnings may be higher than the estimate due to real-time conditions and bonuses.

If you arrive before the pickup time, we’ll notify the passenger in case they’re ready to leave early.
Scheduled rides premium
You may receive a Scheduled Rides Premium to pay you for the extra effort that goes into scheduled rides.
You may receive a premium based on a scheduled ride’s:
  • Region.
  • Pickup location.
  • Time of day.
Scheduled Rides Premium will be included in your Upfront Pay. After completing the ride, you’ll see the premium as a line item in your earnings breakdown. The premium will be listed as ‘Scheduled Rides Premium.’
Location filter
A location filter will be set automatically one hour before your scheduled pickup time. This will not count toward your daily filter uses.
With the 'Arrive on time' location filter, you’ll only receive ride requests that shouldn’t make you late for your scheduled ride.
If you choose to decline rides during the one hour before your scheduled ride, it will not affect your acceptance rate.
Note: Location filters won’t be available if you have a scheduled ride. The ‘Arrive on time’ filter will be on to help you arrive on time for your scheduled pickup.

Lyft offers scheduled airport pickups at locations across the US and Canada.
Review the drop downs below to see where scheduled airport pickups are offered by state or province.
Reserving a scheduled pickup
To reserve a pickup at an eligible airport in the Lyft Driver app:
  1. Open the main menu, then tap ‘More Ways to Earn.’
  2. Tap ‘Scheduled Rides.’
  3. Filter by airport.
  4. Choose a ride, then tap ‘Reserve.'
Note: You must be airport-compliant to reserve scheduled airport pickups.
Completing scheduled airport pickups
To complete a scheduled airport pickup at an eligible airport:
  1. Open the Lyft Driver app and tap 'Go Online' at least 30 minutes before the scheduled airport pickup.
  2. Make sure you’re within a 15 minute drive from the pickup spot.
  3. Once notified, head to the staging lot and select “Arrive at lot.” You’ll wait for up to 30 minutes for Standard (45 minutes for Black) which includes wait time pay and your passenger will notify you when they’re ready for pickup. Note: If your passenger takes longer than 30 minutes, you can choose to wait longer for additional wait time pay.
  4. Once your passenger is ready for pickup, head to the pickup location.
  5. Once you arrive at pickup, wait for passenger for an additional 2 minutes for Standard (5 minutes for Black) for additional wait time pay.
Note: If there are any flight updates, we’ll let you know the status and new pickup time.
Canceling scheduled airport pickups
If your plans change, you can remove the scheduled ride in the app so that another driver can take it. Removing the pickup won't affect your acceptance rating.
To remove a ride from your reserved scheduled rides in the Lyft Driver app:
  1. Open the main menu, tap ‘More Ways to Earn.’
  2. Tap ‘Scheduled Rides.’
  3. Tap the ‘Reserved’ filter
  4. Tap on the ride details.
  5. Tap ‘Cancel.’
If you cancel or don’t complete an excessive number of scheduled rides, your access to scheduled rides may be reduced for the next 14 days.
Note: Only reserve scheduled rides that you’re able to complete.
Scheduled airport pickups earnings
In addition to your scheduled airport pickup earnings, you’ll also earn wait time pay while waiting for your passenger’s flight in the staging lot.
If your passenger takes longer than the designated 30 minutes for Standard, (45 minutes for Black), you can choose to wait longer to earn more wait time pay.
If your passenger cancels the ride, you’ll be paid a no-show fee in addition to your wait time pay.
