Link your United MileagePlus and Lyft accounts to earn miles as you ride.
If you're not a MileagePlus member, you can join by creating an account.
Note: You must request and pay for the ride in order to get awarded points.

Earn with MileagePlus
After your Lyft and MileagePlus accounts are linked, you'll earn:
  • 1 mile per $1 spent on  Standard, Priority Pickup, and XL personal rides
  • 2 miles per $1 spent on Standard, Priority Pickup, and XL rides with your company business profile
  • 3 miles per $1 spent on Extra Comfort, Black, Black SUV and on-demand airport rides
  • 4 miles per $1 spent on scheduled airport rides
Note: Wait & Save and Shared rides are not eligible for MileagePlus miles.
The MileagePlus miles you earn with Lyft won't expire. However, you won't be able to earn miles for rides you took before you linked your account.
Please note that when miles are used to cover part of a ride, only the amount paid through a personal payment method will be eligible to earn miles.
Lyft credits and gift cards don’t count towards MileagePlus miles. You can only earn rewards one of Lyft’s travel partners at a time.
Link your MileagePlus and Lyft accounts
You’ll need to create a MileagePlus account in order to link it to your Lyft account.
To link your accounts:
  1. Visit united.com/lyft
  2. Sign in using your MileagePlus account number
  3. Enter the verification code sent to you by MileagePlus and select 'Continue'
  4. Follow the instructions to open the Lyft app
  5. Read the permissions and select ‘Confirm and finish’
If your Lyft account is linked to another partner, you'll have to update your linked partner to earn with MileagePlus instead.
See your earned miles
You can view your account and keep track of your MileagePlus miles earned through eligible Lyft rides on united.com or within the United app.
MileagePlus miles may take up to 48 hours after your ride is completed and payment is processed to post to your MileagePlus account.
Pay with miles
You can redeem your MileagePlus miles toward the entirety of the ride amount displayed at the time of ride selection on Lyft ('Ride Cost') .
To redeem your MileagePlus miles, simply select the 'Use Miles' button at the time of ride selection. Your MileagePlus miles will automatically be applied to cover the Ride Cost.
Should your available MileagePlus balance be insufficient to cover the Ride Cost, your total MileagePlus balance will be applied and the remaining amount will be charged to your default payment method on file.
Please note the the following terms apply to miles redemption:
  • A minimum of 1 MileagePlus mile is required to use this feature
  • Miles may be applied to ride costs up to a maximum value of $250
  • Miles are applicable to rideshare modes only; bikes and scooters are not eligible
