AfterPay lets you split the cost of eligible Lyft rides and purchases into 4 interest-free payments over 6 weeks. AfterPay is only available in the US and Canada, here's how it works and how to use it.

How AfterPay works
When you pay with AfterPay, your total is split into 4 equal payments. Your first payment is due at checkout. The remaining 3 payments are charged automatically every 2 weeks.
Key things to know:
- No interest and no fees when you pay on time
- Available for all rides in the US and Canada on eligible purchases of $40 or more
- All payment questions after checkout are handled by AfterPay
What you can pay for with AfterPay
AfterPay is available for:
- Rides with a fare of $40 or more
- Lyft Pink Annual Subscription
- Annual Bike Pass purchases
AfterPay is not available for:
- Rides under $40
- Lyft Cash
- Gift Card Purchases
- Lyft Pink Monthly Subscription
- Business profile rides
- Family shared payment
- Price Lock
How to use AfterPay
- Request a ride with an estimated fare of $40 or more.
- On the payment screen, select AfterPay as your payment method.
- If this is your first time using AfterPay, you'll be taken to AfterPay's website to create or log in to your account.
- Review your payment schedule and confirm your ride.
Note: AfterPay cannot be set as your default payment method. You'll need to select it each time you want to use it.
Managing your payments
You can view and manage your AfterPay payment schedule in the AfterPay app.
Lyft will show AfterPay as your payment method in your ride receipts, email receipts, and payment history.
If you have an outstanding balance with AfterPay, your account may be frozen and you won't be able to use AfterPay for Lyft rides until the balance is resolved. Contact AfterPay support directly to resolve account issues.
