Professional Black Car drivers and Fleet Manager resources
In some cities, only Professional Black Car drivers who meet elevated document requirements are able to give Lyft Lux Black rides or perform pickups at select airport zones.
All Black Car drivers must meet Lyft’s standard driver requirements for their region, but it’s important to note that being a Professional Black Car driver is not a requirement to drive on the Lyft platform.

Professional Black Car driver requirements overview
Professional Black Car drivers on the Lyft platform must meet the following criteria:
Black Car fleet companies (and associated Black Car drivers) must meet the requirements above, and also provide:
- A contract between Fleet Manager/Owner and Lyft
- Completed W-9 form
- Driver List
- Vehicle List
Note: Taxis and stretch limousines are not allowed on the Lyft platform.

If you’re a Professional Black Car driver that isn't already on the Lyft platform, complete a Lyft driver application to get started.
If you’re a Black Car fleet manager or the sole proprietor of a Black Car business, and you're interested in partnering with Lyft, please complete this form.
Note: Once your drivers accept the fleet invite, they won't be able to drive a personal vehicle. If they want to leave the fleet to drive a personal vehicle, they'll have to create a new driver account with Lyft.
Frequently asked questions
I already drive for Lyft, why does this matter to me?
In some cities, only Professional Black Car drivers who meet elevated document requirements will be eligible to give Lux Black rides and have access to priority airport pick ups. Regulatory requirements may require Lyft to collect additional documents in some cities, blocking drivers from giving rides until those requirements are met.
How does payment work?
If you drive under a commercial fleet, there will be a separate agreement between Lyft and the Fleet Manager with details regarding pay. All earnings are handled directly by your Fleet Manager.

Drivers must meet the standard requirements for being a Lyft driver in addition to:

- Chauffeur's driver permit (Miami Dade County, City of Miami, Broward County)
- Commercial insurance
- Vehicle authorization form, if the vehicle is not owned or leased by the driver
Orlando:
