Weekly deposits

After you set up your bank and tax info, we’ll automatically transfer your earnings to your bank account every week.

How it works
Your weekly deposit includes your driver earnings from the previous Lyft week. The Lyft week runs from Monday at 5 AM to the following Monday at 4:59 AM.
Anything you earn after the previous Lyft week ends after Monday at 4:59 AM won’t be included in your deposit.
If you use Express Pay or Lyft Direct to get paid sooner, those earnings won’t be included in your deposit.
Transfer timeline
Every Tuesday, earnings are transferred from your Lyft account to your bank account.
Most drivers see the deposit in their bank account between Wednesday and Friday of the same week.
Get paid sooner
If you don’t want to wait for your weekly deposit, you can get paid sooner with Express Pay or Lyft Direct.
Express Pay
Express Pay lets you cash out your earnings instantly to a debit card. Most drivers see their Express Pay in their account within 24 hours.
Lyft Direct
Lyft Direct gives you access to instant payouts, secure mobile banking, and exclusive rewards.
Issues
After we start your transfer, your bank’s processing time determines when you’ll receive the money.
Express Pay transfers normally appear in your bank account within 24 hours.
Weekly payouts normally appear in your bank account within 1-3 business days.
To see when your transfer started, use your weekly breakdown:
  1. Tap your earnings at the top of your Lyft Driver app’s home screen.
  2. Tap ‘See weekly breakdown.’
  3. Use the left or right arrows to find the week you need.
  4. Tap ‘Payout history’ at the bottom of the screen, below your available balance.
Failed deposit
If your weekly deposit fails, we’ll send you a message with instructions on how to fix the issue. The most common reason for a failed transfer is outdated or incorrect bank info.
Late or missing deposit
You should receive your weekly payout by the end of the week without having to do anything.
Weekly deposits can take up to 5 business days to show up in your bank account. They may take longer during holidays.
Other common reasons for transfer delays include:
  • Transferring outside of business days (Monday-Friday).
  • Public holidays and bank holidays.
You can contact your bank to find out when the funds will be available.
Your weekly deposit is sent out as an ACH transfer. To find the amount and date of your deposit, open the Lyft Driver app, then:
  1. Tap the ‘$’ at the top of your app’s home screen.
  2. Tap ‘See weekly breakdown.’
  3. Tap ‘See payout history.’
