Lyft Trade Dress Emblem

Lyft emblem

Drivers are encouraged to display the Lyft emblem while in driver mode. Refer to the image above for where to place your Lyft emblem.

If you've just been approved to drive, you should receive your emblem shortly. If you never received it, or need a new one, send us a message with your shipping address. In the meantime, you can print out a temporary emblem — make sure to print in color.

Tips and Best Practices

Know the Limits on Time in Driver Mode

In addition to Lyft's mandatory break requirement, New Mexico regulations state that you cannot spend more than 12 hours in driver mode within any 24-hour period.

Updating Your Driver Profile

ASE Vehicle Inspection

If you haven't already, upload a photo of your ASE vehicle inspection in the Dashboard.

If you don't already have an ASE vehicle inspection, print out this form and bring it to an ASE certified mechanic (see a list of inspection locations here).

If you're already an approved rideshare driver with an ASE inspection form, you can upload a copy of that form in the Dashboard (you do not need a second inspection).

Document Renewals

Drivers on the Lyft platform are required to maintain current documents (license, registration, insurance). Always update your documents via the Dashboard when they expire.

Moving to or From New Mexico as an Existing Lyft Driver

If you're already a driver in a different state, and you're moving to New Mexico, send us a message with the following info:

  • The date you're moving
  • Your new shipping address
  • A clear photo of your vehicle registration*
  • A clear photo of your ASE vehicle inspection (more information above)

*If you were already required to upload your vehicle registration when you became a driver, you do not need to send it in again.
