Acceptance rate

Your acceptance rate is based on the percentage of the last 100 ride requests you accept and complete. You have the right to accept or decline a ride request at any time.
Your acceptance rate will be negatively impacted if you decline or miss a ride. Your acceptance and cancellation rate will be negatively impacted if you cancel a ride.
Manually declining a ride request by tapping the 'X' button will help you get your next ride faster, because you'll be available to match with other rides. If you can’t do this safely, you can also wait for the request to disappear.
Lyft uses acceptance rates to determine eligibility for certain features, except in California. You can view your acceptance rate in your Driver Dashboard.

Acceptance rate calculation
Your acceptance rate is based on the number of ride requests that you accept and complete. This includes when you drop off a passenger or mark someone as 'no show.' If a passenger cancels a ride request, your acceptance rate won't change.
Example:
Say you complete 97 rides, you miss two requests, and you cancel one ride. Your acceptance rate would be 97% (97 completed rides out of 100 total requests).
You'll divide 97 completed rides by 100 total ride requests.
97 rides/100 requests = 97%
Lowered acceptance rates
Your acceptance rate may lower due to missed requests or driver cancellations.
New York City only
Starting July 1, 2024, you’ll need to maintain an acceptance rate of 85% or higher to see upfront trip details on ride requests. Upfront trip details include the ride destination, distance, time, and full route.
Missed requests
If you miss a request because of technical issues, Lyft won’t count this towards your acceptance rate. Learn more about Phone and connectivity issues. Lapses in app connectivity can impact your acceptance rate. You can avoid missing ride requests by keeping your phone out of airplane mode and your app active while online.
Driver cancellations
Requests that you accept and then cancel count against your acceptance rate. If a passenger cancels a ride request, your acceptance rate won't change. Learn more about Cancellation and no-show policy for drivers.
