Upload your vehicle registration
Drivers in Kentucky are required to upload a copy of their vehicle registration. Temporary vehicle registration is acceptable, but be sure to upload your permanent copy when you receive it.
To prevent delays, make sure your vehicle registration meets the following criteria:

- Match the vehicle on file with Lyft
- Images and text clearly legible in the photo
- All four corners visible in the photo
You are an approved driver, your ride is decked out with all the right things in all the right places, and you’re no stranger to the ins and outs of driving with Lyft.
- Set your vehicle up correctly every time you drive.
- Follow all airport rules.
- Do not accept street hails.
- Do not accept cash for rides.
- Do not wait in taxi lines.
- If you run into any issues on the road, let us know.
- Review Lyft's insurance policy here.
- View your insurance in the app: Settings > Car > Lyft insurance.
Lienholder Disclosure Requirement:
If your vehicle has a lien, you must submit a lienholder notification to the lienholder using this form. Submit the form by certified mail to the lienholder at least seven days before providing your first ride. Save the certified mail return receipt and send it, along with a copy of the completed form for the Nebraska Public Service Commission, to 1200 N Street, Ste. 300, Lincoln, NE 68508 or P.O. Box 94927, Lincoln, NE 68509-4229.
In many personal automobile insurance policies, the driver’s policy does not provide coverage for damage to the vehicle used by the driver, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, and other first-party claims from the moment the driver logs on to the transportation network company’s online-enabled application or platform to the moment the driver logs off the transportation network company’s online-enabled application or platform. You should contact your insurer to determine coverage.
Taking Breaks and Time Limits in Driver Mode
Drivers may not operate a TNC vehicle for more than 12 hours within a 24 hour period.
Drivers on the Lyft platform are required to maintain current documents (license, registration, insurance). Always update your documents via the Dashboard when they expire.
